About The Game
Lawgivers II is a turn-based political and geopolitical simulation game. The player can choose to start the political career as a simple activist or directly as the leader of a party. There are three alternative ways to win the game: By pursuing personal interests, party influence or national prestige. A handmade realistic world map with the most famous countries, regional/state subdivisions and cities. The playable nations will also have constituencies. Use convenient filters to view population density, foreign relations, GDP growth, military spending, media outreach, election outcomes, etc. to display. For a better overview, the map can also be projected in 2D. Lawgivers II is designed to be a sandbox game, where players can experiment with new strategies to win elections and implement policies to avoid national bankruptcy. All playable nations start with their own system and rules. During the contest, the legislators can propose to the parliament/congress to switch to another electoral system which can be proportional, plurality or mixed. Constituencies are also editable and allow to practice gerrymandering to win the elections. Debates can be organized in a region/state to discuss important matter affecting that part of the population. Enter parliament/congress with your legislators to approve or repeal laws in a very elaborate and realistic way. Elect the speaker of the house to watch over parliamentary democracy and set up custom committees. Legislators will have their own opinion on laws and ways of governing. If there are too many positions within the party, some politicians may leave or form another one. Look at their personal history and make sure to secure their trust during the most difficult times. Request a secret ballot for a bill, or a motion to impeach the president.
